IBA har nu fått ordern på en Protonterapianläggning i Trento efter ett långt utvärderingsarbete enligt ett pressmeddelande från IBA.

Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, July 17, 2009 – IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A.) announces today that
ATreP (Agenzia Provinciale Per la Protonterapia) Italy, signed on July 14 the adjudication in favor of
IBA to install a proton therapy center for the Province of Trento. It will be the first gantry-equipped
proton therapy center installed in Italy and will be established as a Public Private Partnership (PPP)
project.
Following a rigorous public selection process, ATreP adjudicated to IBA the construction, the
installation and the technical operation during 15 years of the first future gantry-equipped proton
therapy-dedicated center in Italy. Clinical operations will be performed by and under the responsibility
of ATreP.
